According to the investigation materials, the incident occurred in the autumn of 2025 in one of the district's villages. It was the girl, as the prosecution alleges, who incited her underage acquaintance to commit a dangerous act.
The teenager tore down the state flag from the facade of a bank branch, damaging both the mounting and the flag fabric itself. On his way home, he also painted over two "Pedestrian Crossing" road signs with black paint. The girl was with him the entire time, and the torn-down flag was later kept at her home.
In court, the boy fully admitted his guilt and voluntarily compensated for the damage. He was sentenced to one year of restricted freedom on probation: if he does not commit a new crime within this year, the punishment will not be executed.
The girl, however, did not admit guilt and claimed that the teenager acted independently. However, the court considered the evidence of her incitement sufficient. It was also taken into account that she already had a criminal record, and at the time of the crime, according to expert examination, she was "in a state of diminished responsibility".
As a result, she was sentenced to 3.5 years of restricted freedom without assignment to a penal colony ("khimiya"), as well as compulsory security measures and treatment.
