American entrepreneur Elon Musk announced yesterday that Tesla will cease production of car models S and X in the second quarter of this year.
He reported that after this, the car factory in Fremont (California) will be re-equipped for the production of Optimus humanoid robots.
Evaluating these plans, Elon Musk noted that "it's time to change direction and move into the future."
According to him, in the long term, the Fremont factory will be able to produce up to 1 million robots per year.
