"Not a word in Russian". At yesterday's meeting, Tsikhanouskaya and Zelenskyy spoke each in their own language
During yesterday's meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya spoke Belarusian, and he spoke Ukrainian. "Not a word in Russian," Denis Kuchynski, advisor to the democratic forces' leader on diplomatic issues, told "Euroradio" about the details of the meeting.

"Tsikhanouskaya admitted that she sometimes uses Ukrainian words here and there when speaking Belarusian. The President of Ukraine replied: 'Будь ласка! Використовуйте!' (Please! Use them!)," Kuchynski recalls.
He also shared other details of the meeting:
"Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya expressed full support for Ukraine. She thanked Zelenskyy for his programmatic speech in Vilnius, where the accents were clearly placed: Lukashenka is a governor-general, a vassal to Putin.
They also discussed the process of releasing political prisoners, in which Zelenskyy's team played an important role. And here, the President of Ukraine emphasized that he is ready to provide such assistance in the future as well.
They spoke about the importance of a common strategy regarding Lukashenka. About our mission in Ukraine. We hope that a new special representative of Ukraine for Belarus will soon be appointed.
An important message given by Zelenskyy is that he and his team, the government, separate Lukashenka's regime from the people. We assess the meeting very positively. There is now very good contact with Bankova."
