French President Emmanuel Macron stated at the Munich Security Conference that Europe must participate in negotiations with Russia regarding the war in Ukraine to be 'part of the solution to this problem,' writes Le Parisien.
He emphasized that, should a peace agreement be reached, Europe would need to 'define the rules of coexistence' with Russia.
Macron also called for continued efforts to build European defense and stated that Europe must become a 'geopolitical power'.
Earlier, the French president gave an interview to major European newspapers and said that Europeans should conduct an independent discussion with Russia to avoid dependence on the U.S.
