After Ukrainian drone strikes on the morning of March 26, one of Russia's largest oil refineries — "Kirishinefteorgsintez" — ceased operations. According to information from Reuters sources, two main units and several auxiliary ones caught fire at the enterprise, and it is currently unknown when they will resume operation.

This plant is the largest in the Leningrad Oblast and one of the largest in Russia. It can process about 20 million tons of oil per year. Last year, it processed 17.5 million tons, which accounts for approximately 6.6% of the total volume in the country. The enterprise is part of the "Surgutneftegaz" company.
It was also previously reported that after drone attacks on the ports of Primorsk and Ust-Luga, about 40% of Russian oil exports were suspended. This is called the most serious disruption to supplies in the country's modern history. The fire in the port of Ust-Luga, meanwhile, has been continuing for a second day.
