Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya Met with Belarusian Volunteer Fighters and Activists in Warsaw
Today, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, together with Vadim Kabanchuk, representative for defense and national security of the United Transitional Cabinet, held a meeting with Belarusian volunteer fighters and activists who fought on the side of Ukraine, her press service reports .

During the meeting, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya thanked the Belarusian volunteer fighters for their courage and principled stance in the fight against Russian aggression: «Belarusian volunteer fighters have made and continue to make a huge contribution to the fight against Russian aggression. Thanks to you, the world sees: Belarusians are not accomplices in this war, but a people fighting for the security of the entire region.»
The participants discussed strategic cooperation with Ukraine and the visit of the Belarusian leader to Ukraine, which will take place in the coming months.
Special attention was paid to the issues of legalization for Belarusian volunteer fighters in Ukraine.
They also discussed conditions for Belarusian veterans, namely the need to revise norms that effectively equate Belarusian volunteer fighters with citizens of the aggressor state; ensuring payments to families of the fallen; extending periods of legal stay after contract completion, simplifying legalization in Ukraine, and creating mechanisms for resocialization after service.
