On Saturday, in Sevastopol, in Russian-annexed Crimea, sales of petrol and diesel fuel are set to resume, after being interrupted last Sunday amidst Ukrainian drone attacks and a fuel crisis on the peninsula, writes the BBC.
City head Mikhail Razvozhaev announced the previous evening that fuel would be dispensed using QR codes, which began to be used even before the suspension of sales.
The only way to get a QR code is to access a bot in the state messenger Max.
The restriction remains in effect — only 20 liters can be filled per vehicle.
On Sunday, June 21, the head of annexed Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, stated that at all Crimean gas stations, 'fuel dispensing has been stopped for both cash and non-cash payments, as well as by coupons for individuals and legal entities.' Only vehicles of state services were being fueled.
