Belarusian truck driver tried to smuggle cigarettes into Lithuania, packing them in a mattress
On February 25, a truck driven by a Belarusian citizen arrived at the Medininkai border crossing point. Lithuanian customs officers' suspicion was aroused not by the cargo, but by a mattress in the driver's cabin. During the inspection, it was revealed that cigarette packs were hidden inside it, reports the Lithuanian customs service.

As a result, customs officers confiscated 9,400 cigarettes with a total value of 2,326 euros, as well as the tractor unit with a semi-trailer, valued at 15,390 euros. An administrative protocol was drawn up against the driver.
