Drones attacked a large oil refinery and CHP plant near Nizhny Novgorod
On the night of April 5, Ukraine launched a large-scale attack on the industrial zone of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region. The main target was the Lukoil-Nizhny Novgorodnefteorgsintez plant — the fourth largest oil refinery in Russia, located 800 kilometers from the front line.

Videos from social networks show strong flames over the plant's territory.
The Novogorkovskaya CHP plant was also hit. This is a critical facility that provides the refinery and the entire industrial zone with electricity, steam, and heat. Without this station's operation, stable functioning of the plant is impossible.
Gleb Nikitin, governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, reported that 30 drones were shot down over the Kstovsky district.
The Kstovsky oil refinery is a strategic facility that has been operating since 1958 and has a capacity of 17 million tons of oil per year. It produces a wide range of fuels, from gasoline to aviation kerosene, supplying both the civilian sector and the military logistics of the Russian Federation.
Simultaneously, information was received about damage to an oil pipeline in the area of Primorsk port (Leningrad region).
