At least 14 people died in a train collision in Indonesia.

Authorities report that 81 people were injured in the disaster in the capital, Jakarta.

The head of Indonesia's rescue service, Mohammad Syafii, told reporters on Tuesday morning that there are still live people trapped inside the crumpled carriages. Jakarta police chief Asep Edi Suheri clarified that there are six or seven of them, writes the BBC.

The disaster near Bekasi Timur station in Jakarta occurred on Monday. A long-distance train crashed into the back of a suburban train, which had stopped after colliding with a taxi stuck at a crossing. The impact hit the women's carriage.
