In one semifinal, the country's champion, capital SKA, confidently defeated Gomel handball players — 39:28. In the second match, the reigning trophy holder, Meshkov Brest, overcame the hosts — Masheka handball players — 29:26.

On May 3rd, Meshkov Brest will defend their title in the decisive match against SKA, while Masheka and Gomel will compete for the bronze medals of the cup tournament. A year ago in Mozyr, the Brest team won the country's Cup for the 15th time, defeating the Minsk army team in the final (30:29). The Gomel team won the bronze, having defeated the Mogilev team in the third-place match (30:27).
In the women's category, the Belarus Cup was won by BNTU-BelAZ handball players. They, the reigning champions, are competing for the championship gold with Gomel. And Grodno's Haradnichanka and capital SKA will compete for the bronze medals.
