Well-known Z-blogger Who Criticized Putin for Internet Shutdown Sent to a 'Meat Assault'

Russian Z-blogger and war correspondent Yegor Guzenko, known by the pseudonym "Thirteenth," has ceased to be in contact since late April. According to reports from his Telegram channel, this happened shortly after he publicly criticized Vladimir Putin for the shutdowns of mobile internet and communication, writes The Moscow Times.

As the channel's authors claim, after these statements, Guzenko's phone was allegedly confiscated, and he was sent to the front line, into a so-called "meat assault." It is also reported that he had serious health problems after a leg injury that had not yet healed.

Before his disappearance, the blogger indeed published a harsh post, where he stated that internet restrictions do not help security and do not solve problems with phone scammers or military actions. He also claimed that he was losing trust in the Russian leadership and criticized the authorities' measures.

This is not Guzenko's first conflict with Russian authorities. Previously, he had already made harsh statements against Putin and threatened protests. In 2024, he was detained in Stavropol Krai on a criminal case of violence against a government official, but later he signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense and went to war.
