The driver turned out to be a 39-year-old resident of Minsk region with signs of alcohol intoxication. He had already been deprived of his driving license and had been repeatedly brought to justice, including criminal, for drunk driving.
The offender did not react to police demands and by his actions created a danger for other road users, therefore, it was decided to use service weapons to detain him.
According to medical examination materials, the driver's blood alcohol level exceeded one per mille. He faces a fine of 200 basic units.
The owner of the car was also in the cabin. He was held accountable for handing over control to an intoxicated person — he faces a fine and deprivation of rights for three years.
Both men were placed in a detention center, and the car was sent to a guarded parking lot.
