Near the famous bison sculpture on the border of Brest and Minsk regions, a cafe will be built, where Belarusian-Tatar cuisine dishes will be served. The project is part of a cooperation plan with Russian Tatarstan.

This was reported by BelTA agency, citing Mikhail Batsenka, Deputy Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee. The initiative was included in the action plan for 2026-2027, signed by Petr Parkhomchik, Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, and Rustam Minnikhanov, head of Tatarstan.
According to the official, the project emerged in response to requests from tourists who often stop by the monument to take photos and are looking for a place to grab a bite. It is planned that the cafe will be created jointly with one of Kazan's restaurant companies and will be named «Wings of Friendship».
«We will serve Tatar cuisine dishes there. We will involve the 'Druzhba' poultry farm, which produces chicken wings and drumsticks. Belarusian cuisine will also be available,» — Batsenka explained. He added that the preliminary design has already been developed, and legal issues are now being resolved.
As we wrote earlier, changes will also affect the bison itself. To make the sculpture more impressive, specialists are working on making steam emanate from the giant's nostrils. It is expected that the steam wave will reach 5.5 meters in length at a 45-degree angle.
