EHU Announced Increased Support for Students, Faculty, and Their Families

After Belarusian authorities recognized the European Humanities University (EHU) as an extremist organization, the educational institution announced increased support for its community and the adoption of additional measures to mitigate the consequences of this decision.

According to the university's press service, in response to pressure and repression, EHU has expanded cooperation with Lithuanian state bodies, international partners, diplomatic missions, and public organizations. The goal of this work is to ensure safety, well-being, and the opportunity to continue studies or professional activities for those affected by the situation.

The assistance system is based on three main directions: maintaining the continuity of the educational process, practical support for affected community members, and strengthening the long-term stability and security of the university.

In recent weeks, the university has simplified administrative procedures related to studies, arranged accommodation for students who may need to relocate, and created additional consultation mechanisms.

It is reported that EHU cooperates with Lithuanian institutions and diplomatic missions on issues of visas, residence permits, and other legal possibilities, as well as assisting those who need to safely leave Belarus.

The university has also expanded access to legal consultations involving independent human rights experts, organized personal meetings with specialists, strengthened psychological support, and opened a special hotline operating on a "one-stop shop" principle.

In addition, EHU has strengthened cybersecurity and data protection measures, and community members are provided with recommendations on personal and digital security.

Маленький университет. В КПИ, Киевском политехническом, аж 18 факультетов, в том числе военный.
