Russia continues to tighten import restrictions on Armenia after the victory of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's party in the parliamentary elections and the start of EU financial aid to Yerevan.

On Friday, Rosselkhoznadzor announced a complete ban on the import of Armenian fish products due to "identified violations" in two producers — LLC "MF Export" and LLC "Invest Plus".
Before this, Russian authorities only allowed fish supplies from these Armenian enterprises, restricting imports for all others. At the same time, an enhanced laboratory control regime was introduced for the "approved" suppliers.
According to Rosselkhoznadzor, based on the analysis of collected materials, it was decided to "suspend the certification of products from the mentioned enterprises until the identified violations are eliminated." The agency stated that work continues to ensure the safety of fish products entering the Russian market.
Earlier, Moscow imposed a number of restrictions on the import and sale within the country of various categories of Armenian goods — from flowers to vegetables.
Against this backdrop, the European Union began providing financial assistance to Yerevan as "solidarity measures to strengthen economic resilience," writes Moscow Times.
