What will graduates of the Belarusian-Chinese program, completed by Kolya Lukashenka, do?

Graduates of the first joint program of BSU and Peking University in 'biotechnology' have returned home. Their diplomas were awarded last week in the presence of Alexander Lukashenka – the father of one of the program's graduates . BSU Rector Andrei Karol spoke about their future prospects on 'First Information' TV.

Last week, graduates of the first joint program of the Belarusian State University and Peking University in 'biotechnology' received their diplomas in China. This included Nikolai Lukashenka.

Kolya and four other guys studied simultaneously at two universities. According to state TV, they took exams in three languages, got used to a different education system, and worked in laboratories with equipment 'that has no analogues in Europe'.

Andrei Karol, Rector of the Belarusian State University, said that 22 people completed the educational program, 18 of them with honors.

"Of these, 5 people were collegially selected by Peking University and us for study in a joint master's program. Some will pursue existing master's programs, others will start their first jobs. The demand is actually very high — these include 'Belmedpreparaty' and the Academy of Sciences, meaning those institutes interested in fresh blood, so that these shoots yield the harvest everyone is counting on."

Whether Kolya will go on to a master's program is not reported.
