In Navahrudak, the Museum of the Holocaust and Jewish Resistance will be updated. Marzaliuk will also take part
In Navahrudak, a non-profit organization "Memorial Museum of the Holocaust and Jewish Resistance" was registered . The new institution will be a continuation of the activities of the Museum of Jewish Resistance, located on the territory of the former Navahrudak ghetto. The project envisions the creation of an international memorial, educational, and research center, writes "Radio Svaboda".

The museum will tell the story of one of the most significant pages in the history of World War II — the escape of prisoners from the Navahrudak ghetto through an underground tunnel on September 26, 1943. This operation is considered the most massive and one of the most successful acts of Jewish resistance in occupied Europe.

A special place in the exhibition will be dedicated to the history of the Bielski partisan detachment, which operated in the vicinity of Navahrudak. The detachment rescued about 1,200 Jews, accepting not only armed fighters but also children, women, the elderly, and everyone who sought refuge.
The updated museum will operate as a public-private partnership. The premises have already been bought out by a Belarusian investor ('Nasha Niva' wrote about this idea, which caused controversy), and the project's implementation is planned for three years. The scientific director of the project will be the pro-government historian-deputy Ihar Marzaliuk, who noted that the main task of the museum is to preserve the memory of the Holocaust tragedy and the contribution of Belarusian Jews to the country's history without omissions or distortions.
