The family didn't expect the berries to be so in demand. But the work is also hard.

Minsk residents Viktoria and Artem collected blueberries in the forest for themselves — and decided to publish an advertisement for selling the berries as an experiment. It turned out that blueberries are very much in demand. The Minsk residents told Myfin about their unexpected income.
«What will people say?» They were afraid to offer berries for sale
Viktoria is 27 years old and an individual entrepreneur. Artem is 31 years old and works in electrical installation as an employee. The couple notes that they managed to earn extra money from blueberries purely by chance.
«We came to the village for the weekend and went into the forest to pick berries for ourselves. Then, without any particular expectations, we decided to publish an ad for selling blueberries on social media. One order came immediately, and then another. Our experiment quickly got out of hand.»
It was a bit scary to announce the sale online: the thought «what will people say» wouldn't leave their minds.
The young couple was surprised by the demand for blueberries. Customers wanted to buy berries not two or three liters at a time, but five liters. Some even wrote asking to buy ten liters of blueberries. The couple refused many, as the berries are picked by hand and they wouldn't be able to handle such volumes. Clean blueberries without twigs and leaves were sold for 20 rubles per liter. A five-liter bucket sold for 100 rubles with delivery to the entrance.

«Now I see ads with lower prices, but this is not easy work, so we didn't want to sell cheaper. Since we collected them by hand, not with special harvesters, the speed was far from cosmic. From seven in the morning until one in the afternoon, we only managed to pick five or six liters.»
Absolutely all buyers came from Threads. Many were not satisfied with the price: some noted that blueberries are sold twice as cheaply in the market, while others said they couldn't afford to buy five liters at once for that price, but would gladly take one or two.
«The hardest part is waking up early!»
The heroes were taught how to go to the forest by their grandparents, whom they often visited as children in the summer. Since then, Viktoria knows the berry spots. Every weekend the couple visits their grandfather in a village in the Borisov district, where the proven clearings are located.
«Since childhood, I've been used to it: if a trip to the forest is planned, you have to get up at four in the morning and leave the house by five to have time to pick berries before the peak heat. Besides, my grandmother had a farm and a garden. Of course, we had to help with that too.»
The publication writes that while the couple was picking berries, a moose passed by just fifty meters from them.
«This is not easy money.»
In five days, the couple earned 700 rubles. The heroine went to the forest alone for two of those days.
Despite the berry success, the couple decided not to pick blueberries for sale anymore this summer — too many worries in the city. On her Threads page, the girl created a thread where other pickers left their contacts for potential buyers.
«Leaving the forest, I thanked it for such generous gifts. The amount earned is a decent help for household expenses. If we had taken berry picking seriously and taken time off for the blueberry season, we would have earned much more.»
According to the Minsk residents, there is a rich harvest of blueberries in the forest this year. The main thing is to know good spots and not be lazy. Viktoria notes: there will be enough berries for everyone.
Will the Minsk residents repeat their experiment next season? Viktoria cannot give a definitive answer and believes that everything will depend on the harvest and their desire, as this method of earning money certainly cannot be called easy.
