Sabalenka in Minsk took her fiancé for dinner to her grandmother's and for shashliks to Maxim Mirny's
Aryna Sabalenka, during her visit to Minsk, spoke about what her family fed her fiancé Georgios Frangulis and how he met her grandmother and mother.

Sabalenka spent several days in her hometown, combining the opening of courts named after her and training before the tournament in Toronto, writes "Komsomolskaya Pravda".
«We will go to my grandmother's for dinner, and she will cook the best dishes,» Sabalenka said upon arrival in Minsk in an interview with the YouTube channel First&Red. «Salads, French-style meat, chicken… And my favorite: fried bread rubbed with garlic, with cheese and tomato. We will also taste all the pickles. But I asked her not to cook herring under a fur coat, because we tried it somewhere and Georgios didn't like it. He really loves goulash… So, my grandmother will make that.»
In addition, a colorful feast with a bathhouse and shashliks at Maxim Mirny's house was planned. As for walks around the city, and Frangulis had never been to Minsk, Aryna promised to take him to the most beautiful places and visit the National Library.
«We'll drive around the city, see the beautiful places. We'll go to the library, which, by the way, I've never been to,» Aryna admitted.
Sabalenka said that the home visit was planned for five days and there wouldn't be time for everything. To the interviewer's question whether this was a matchmaking trip, Aryna replied that her mother already knew Georgios – they had met in Greece.
In general, the communication between the future son-in-law and the future mother-in-law is built through Aryna.
«No one in my family speaks English, so the acquaintance is like this — just to see him in person. And I translate what I consider necessary,» Aryna laughed.
By the way, Aryna's grandmother lives not far from the airport.
«Grandma lives in the village of Privolny (15 km from the Minsk Ring Road. — Ed.). When I come to Minsk, I go straight from the airport to grandma's, it's only a 20-minute drive. Then to mom's and friends'.»
Sabalenka was happy about the visit home.
«When I fly to Minsk, I feel how clean our air is.»
Aryna Sabalenka also explained why her team consists mainly of Belarusians: «I am distrustful and don't like it when people bow to me.»
