Ukrainian commander personally arrived in the city, the capture of which Putin announced
Commander of the 3rd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Biletsky personally arrived in Sviatohirsk, thereby refuting the statement by the President of Russia and Russian military personnel about the capture of the city.

On September 2, Vladimir Putin stated that the Russian army allegedly captured Sviatohirsk. His words were disseminated as fact by Russian state and propaganda media.
However, Putin's statement was not confirmed by any of the main combat maps. According to DeepState data at the time of the statement, the nearest Russian positions were approximately 9.5 kilometers from the city.
Now Biletsky personally arrived in the city.
«I want to address the Russian military and military-political leadership. Take off your clown noses, these multicolored wigs, don't look like fools. <…> Well, it's clear that we're in body armor, but you can walk around without any problems. The day, as you can see, is quiet, beautiful. A civilian car is driving there,» he said.
According to his statement, Sviatohirsk is located in the defense zone of the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the 3rd Army Corps.
«This is the rear area of our corps. Everything is excellent here,» Biletsky said.
