In Grodno, taxi drivers received "envelope" salaries for almost three years

In Grodno, over 120 taxi drivers unofficially received a portion of their salaries for approximately three years. The total amount of payments not reflected in the company's accounting exceeded 940 thousand rubles, reported the press service of the State Control Committee.

The scheme was uncovered by employees of the Department of Financial Investigations of the State Control Committee for Grodno Region.

As it turned out, money was given to drivers "in envelopes", not including it in the official reporting of the company that provided taxi passenger transportation.

As a result, the state lost out on over 120 thousand rubles in taxes and other mandatory payments.

A criminal case has been initiated against the actual head of the company. He is suspected of evading obligations to transfer taxes on an especially large scale.
