On September 5, at the "Hryhorawshchyna" border crossing point on the Belarusian-Latvian border, a border patrol found a drone belonging to a 32-year-old resident of Lithuania. The man was traveling to Belarus in a passenger car and transporting the drone.

An administrative process was initiated against the man for illegal import of a UAV into Belarus. Such a violation carries a fine of up to 30 basic units. The drone was confiscated by customs officers.

According to current rules, individuals in Belarus are prohibited from importing, storing, using, transferring to other persons, and manufacturing civilian drones and aircraft models, as well as using civilian UAVs in the country's airspace.
It is reported that over the last month, Belarusian border guards have already stopped seven attempts of illegal drone import into Belarus.
