Veteran of the Belarusian movement, leader of the "Free Belarus" movement, Zianon Pazniak, remains one of the few Belarusians who steadfastly believes in the star of Donald Trump. On April 3, he published on Facebook a text written the day before, in which he gave enthusiastic characteristics not only to Trump, but also to his closest entourage.

“President Trump's policy (domestic and foreign, I'm not considering populism here) reminds me somewhat in places of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy's actions — avoiding military conflicts through dialogue, attention to tariffs, returning to the long-standing normalcy of the American systemic democracy, but already at the Republican level,” the Belarusian public figure does not hide his admiration for the American president.
But Trump's strength lies not only in himself, but also in his team selection. "We haven't seen such successful people in the US White House for a long time," Pazniak asserts.
“For example, the President’s press secretary, the excellent Ms. Caroline Leavitt — she is simply a find of the century (nothing like her existed before),” he believes, without, however, specifying on what achievements of this woman such a conclusion is based.
At the same time, the reasons for praising billionaire Elon Musk are more specific:
“Elon Musk's initiative in the service of a democratic state (and his group of billionaires (!) — this is therapy for America (though temporary, harsh, and unusual). The general principle (meme) is this: democracy is not bureaucracy.”
In this regard, the leader of "Free Belarus" expresses hope that "maybe everything will work out for resolute people who walk through a viper's field." Which, however, does not coincide with the Belarusian one, because "we, Belarusians, have our own field. And we will have to cross it."
At the same time, he immediately warns potential opponents:
“I am forced for the first time to warn all "great connoisseurs of politics", "Nostradamuses" and well-read youngsters on FB that at the slightest insult to my name on the grounds of hatred for Trump, slandering my person and rudeness, I will (from which I usually refrained) immediately remove such people from my friends list.”
