Ukrainian skeleton racer stripped of accreditation due to helmet

The International Olympic Committee stripped Ukrainian skeleton racer Vladyslav Heraskevych of accreditation for using a banned helmet.

Vladyslav intended to compete at the Olympics with a helmet featuring photos of Ukrainian athletes who died in the war with Russia.

    Вспоминается хрестоматийное: "Ты либо крестик сними, либо штаны надень". МОКу следовало бы быть более последовательным. То он отстраняет спортсменов из стран-агрессоров (и правильно делает!) - то устраивает вот такие вот сцены без фонтана... и вызывает тем самым фонтан эмоций. Ведь вряд ли найдется хоть один честный человек, который не поддержит отважного украинца, дерзнувшего напомнить миру о своих погибших друзьях...
