Veteran of the Belarusian movement Zianon Pazniak reacted to the main news of December 13 — the release of 123 political prisoners from Belarusian penal colonies. In his opinion, even at this stage of the process, it was not without a significant flaw.

«Of the Belarusian-oriented prisoners, Seviarynets and Bialiatski were released. The rest — as always. Priority of the Russian world. Ivashyn and Pachobut continue to be held», — commented Zianon Pazniak on the release of political prisoners.
The fact that most of those released were deported not to Lithuania, but to Ukraine, he described as «an opportunity to avoid a dead-end environment».
