Sentences handed down to three corrupt officials from the leadership of Belarusian Railway
The court issued guilty verdicts in the case of three heads of the Belarusian Railway's transport service, who were found guilty of corruption offenses, reports the Community of Railway Workers of Belarus.

The defendants in the case were the head of the transport service Vital Panushenka, his deputy — the head of the transport control center Fyodar Shulenkov, and also the first deputy head of this center, the head of the operational-dispatch department Alyaksandr Ivanoŭ.
All three were detained in October 2024 by GUBZiK officers, after which they spent more than a year under investigation and in court proceedings. All three were accused of receiving bribes.
On December 13, 2025, the court of the Leninski district of Minsk found them guilty and imposed real prison sentences. Panushenka received 7 years of imprisonment, Shulenkov — 5 years, Ivanoŭ — 4 years. The sentences were handed down under Article 430 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (receiving a bribe), with varying degrees of severity.
According to the investigation, over three years these officials systematically received bribes from commercial structures for creating a corrupt scheme that allowed for the out-of-turn provision of freight wagons from the Belarusian Railway's inventory fleet. The Investigative Committee initiated six criminal cases based on these facts.
It is noted in the material that a significant role in exposing the scheme was played by a former Belarusian Railway employee and businessman who, cooperating with law enforcement, participated in the transfer of money, after which "on-the-spot" arrests occurred.
The Community of Belarusian Railway Workers draws attention to the fact that the verdict against Ivanoŭ seems controversial. According to unofficial information, about 5,000 rubles were found on him during the arrest — an amount insufficient for qualification as "a large-scale bribe." To elevate the charges to the required level, an additional episode appeared in the case — the testimony of a witness who claimed to have previously transferred money to Ivanoŭ twice. No other evidence for these episodes, apart from the witness's words, was announced.
This witness was Leanid Krylovich — a former transport police officer and ex-head of a structure associated with Belarusian Railway, a person with extensive experience in transportation and his own commercial interests. His testimony appeared after Ivanoŭ's arrest and became key to a more severe qualification of the charges.
