Previously, the New Year's tree in Dobrush was brought from the forest, but this year it was taken from a private yard. A resident of Sovetskaya Street, Slava Dabradzeyeva, herself contacted the dispatcher of 'Dobrušski Kamunalnik' with a proposal to place the spruce that grew in her yard in the city center, writes 'Dobrushski Krai'.
— This tree is 22 years old, — said the veteran of pedagogical work. — And it appeared here thanks to my husband Yevgeny Antonovich. He found a tiny, neat seedling in a nearby forest and decided that a piece of celebration should be in every one of our days.
Throughout its long life, the spruce served as a sunshade in the heat, a home for birds that occupied its branches in entire flocks, and the ultimate New Year's decor with garlands and glass ornaments.
According to the interviewee, her husband even built snow towns with his grandchildren under its prickly crown. What a joy it was!
— The memory will remain with me, but I wanted to give such positive, warm emotions to my fellow villagers as well, — smiles Slava Dabradzeyeva.
