Russia's Ministry of Defense admitted a massive strike on Ukraine's energy system using "Kinzhal" missiles
The Russian military department officially commented on the night attack on Ukrainian regions. The statement openly admits that energy facilities in Ukraine were among the main targets.
Among the weapons used, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation specifically highlighted aeroballistic hypersonic "Kinzhal" missiles, which, according to their statement, reached their designated targets.
The strike was traditionally called "a response to Ukraine's terrorist attacks on civilian targets on Russian territory." In addition to energy infrastructure, the Russian side claims to have hit military-industrial complex enterprises.
On Tuesday night, Ukraine experienced a large-scale combined attack from Russia. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 635 attack drones and 38 missiles, including three aeroballistic "Kinzhal" missiles, were used in the strike.
As a result of the attack, three people died, including a four-year-old child.
Multi-story and private residential buildings were damaged.
The energy infrastructure was seriously damaged in a number of regions: Rivne, Ternopil, and Khmelnytskyi oblasts were almost completely de-energized. Significant problems with electricity are observed in Odesa, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, and other oblasts.
