Remember the student-teacher couple where he is 31 years older? Now they are citizens of Israel
A former Orthodox protodeacon and a student regent boasted new passports: "At the airport, we were congratulated on being 'born' into the State of Israel."

Sergei and Anfisa Fedaruk became social media stars due to their love story — the teacher was 31 years older than his student.
And the story is indeed unusual. Sergei worked in the church for over 30 years and also taught at a theological seminary. He earned meager money, so he constantly had to look for part-time work. Anfisa, since childhood, wanted to link her future with the church and enroll in a theological seminary to become a regent (choir director).
Fate had it that the young girl and her teacher fell in love. At the time the romance with the student began, the man had a family: a wife and children (who were already grown). Anfisa explains: it was impossible for Sergei to divorce his first wife, marry a second time, and after all that, remain serving. Therefore, he had to choose one of three options: break up with Anfisa, hide the affair to keep his rank, or divorce and leave the church.
The girl recounted that she herself was advised at the pedagogical council to "be smarter" and not publicize her relationship with her beloved, so that he could remain a priest and she could receive her diploma.
As a result, the couple chose love, got married, and began actively managing their social media. On Instagram, the Fedaruk family has a total of 62,000 subscribers, almost 13,000 on Telegram, 96,000 on TikTok, and about 57,000 on YouTube. Anfisa claims they earn money precisely as bloggers.

Anfisa's parents initially reacted well to their son-in-law, who was their peer. Later, however, they almost ceased relations with their daughter and her chosen one due to conflicts.
Recently, the girl boasted that she and her husband received Israeli citizenship: "At the airport, we were congratulated on being 'born' into the State of Israel. It's all very sweet, of course."
Sergei's mother and many relatives live in this country. But he long hid this fact of his biography. Anfisa claims she didn't find out immediately herself: "I didn't know he was Jewish for another six months after our relationship started; he carefully hid it from me and everyone else. So all options of 'marrying for citizenship' are wrong."
The girl shared on her blog that the idea of getting Israeli passports belonged to her husband. The family managed to pass the consular check only on the second attempt. But now Anfisa is delighted, as even her mother didn't believe that her daughter would ever be able to obtain Israeli citizenship. The girl calls the new passport the most valuable New Year's gift.
Sergei and Anfisa plan to live in Israel because they see more opportunities there.
