US President Donald Trump once again stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly wants to end the war against Ukraine.

According to Trump, Putin 'feels pressure' from him, and the possibility of reaching a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine is 'much closer than people think'.
'He wants to put an end to this, and Ukraine also wants to put an end to this, and we are negotiating, we will see if we can stop it. It's terrible,' Trump said, commenting on journalists' questions about the recent strike on Kyiv.
The US President also noted that, in his opinion, both Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are interested in ending the war. Trump added that discussions about the situation might continue at the NATO summit in Ankara, where, according to him, the topic of ending the conflict will be raised.
According to American media reports, Trump plans to meet with Zelenskyy at the summit, after which he may hold a conversation with Putin.
