A resident of Baranavichy became a victim of cyber fraud, believing in promises of quick income. The amount of losses is colossal.
A 45-year-old man met a girl on Instagram who offered him additional income on the stock exchange through her acquaintances.
Soon, "managers" contacted him. They provided the man with account details for transferring money, and in the "personal account" on the platform, they created fake statistics about alleged large income.
The Belarusian transferred over 580 thousand rubles to the scammers' accounts, which is more than 200 thousand dollars.
When the victim tried to withdraw his earned money, they began to refuse him under various fabricated pretexts. Realizing he had been scammed, the resident of Baranavichy contacted the police.
