According to the company itself, in 2025, about 18 million cups of coffee and tea, as well as 8.8 million hot dogs and French dogs, were sold at "Belarusnafta" branded gas stations. And this, it is claimed, is a record.
This record looks particularly interesting as it was achieved after sharp criticism from Alexander Lukashenka regarding the sale of additional products at gas stations.
In mid-October last year, he demanded order to be brought to gas stations, where transport often obstructed traffic. Lukashenka was informed that people were massively complaining about long queues at gas stations. It turned out that the problem arose not only due to refueling cars but also because many customers used additional services, leaving their cars near the pumps.
As a result, situations arose where passage through the gas station territory was practically blocked. Lukashenka noted that cars were parked across, no one could pass, while people were calmly drinking coffee in the cafeteria. He also recalled that previously citizens themselves insisted on having additional goods and the possibility to drink coffee at every gas station. However, over time, this led to a new problem — queues due to improper organization of vehicle parking.
After these statements, "Belarusnafta" promptly issued an official comment. Within a few days, special warnings for customers appeared at gas stations. Messages began to be displayed on screens near the pumps, asking drivers to refuel their cars first and only then visit the cafeteria or shop, to free up space for other drivers.
Despite the measures introduced to reduce queues and restore order, the previously high demand played its role. The sales volume accumulated during the first nine months of the year turned out to be so large that by the end of the year, "Belarusnafta" was still able to set a record for coffee and hot dog sales.
