Trump revealed Maduro was captured with the help of a "Discombobulator"
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that a new secret weapon, which he called the Discombobulator, played a decisive role in the operation to detain Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. Trump told this to the New York Post in an interview.

According to the American president, this development allowed the Venezuelan side's equipment to be disabled at the moment when American helicopters arrived in Caracas on January 3 to arrest Maduro and his wife on charges of illegal drug and arms trafficking. Trump emphasized that he does not have the right to disclose details, though he himself is itching to tell more. Earlier, by the way, he had already touched upon this matter somewhat.
The name of the weapon comes from the English word meaning "to disorient" or "to confuse." The U.S. President claims that Venezuelan forces were unable to use even Russian and Chinese missiles: the equipment was not working, despite full combat readiness.
Trump made these comments in the context of a conversation about pulsed energy weapons, which the Biden administration had previously purchased and which are linked to the so-called "Havana Syndrome."
While not much is known about the weapon itself, evidence from Venezuela partly confirms Trump's words. According to eyewitnesses, armed supporters of Maduro suddenly lost orientation, fell to their knees, had nosebleeds, and some vomited blood. One of Maduro's bodyguards recounted that all radar systems inexplicably shut down, after which dozens of drones appeared over their positions.
Later, according to him, the weapon's action was directed directly at the guards. He described it as a strong, intense sound wave, followed by sharp head pain, bleeding, and people losing the ability to move. As a result, the guards were unable to resist.
