The International Space Station crew returned to Earth for the first time earlier than scheduled due to health problems of one of the flight participants. The Crew Dragon spacecraft with the Crew-11 mission crew successfully splashed down on the night of January 15 in the Pacific Ocean near the coast of San Diego, NASA reported.

The crew included NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fink, Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov, and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency representative Kimiya Yui. They stayed on the ISS for 165 days.
The Crew-11 mission had to be concluded early — this is the first such case in NASA's history. The reason was health problems of one of the crew members, but their name is not being disclosed.
The illness became known on January 8, when the planned spacewalk was canceled at the station.
Currently, Russian cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov, who became the station commander, and Sergey Mikaev, as well as NASA astronaut Christopher Williams, remain on the ISS. The arrival of the next Crew-12 mission is expected in mid-February.
