Greenland's territory can only be controlled by whoever is capable of defending it, and Denmark is too small and weak for that. This was stated on Fox News by the US President's advisor on internal security, Deputy Chief of Staff of the White House Administration, Stephen Miller.
He also stated that the principle by which the right to control territory is determined by the ability to defend it has existed for about 500 years. Denmark, according to him, is a "small" country with a "small" army.
"Denmark is a small country with a small economy and a small army. They cannot defend Greenland. They cannot control Greenland's territory," Miller said.
