Trailer released for Guy Ritchie's series about young Sherlock Holmes
The trailer for "Young Sherlock" — a series by Guy Ritchie — has been released. The series premieres on Amazon Prime on March 4th. A total of eight episodes are planned.
The trailer shows the main characters of the series and the key events.
The first season will tell the story of the young man's first case — he will have to solve a murder in Oxford.
Young Sherlock Holmes is played by Hero Fiennes Tiffin (nephew of Ralph Fiennes), and his adversary Moriarty is played by Donal Finn.
Sherlock's parents will be shown (his father will be played by Hero's other uncle, Joseph Fiennes), as well as his brother Mycroft.
In the canonical Holmes (stories and novellas by Arthur Conan Doyle), there are no accounts of the detective's younger years.
However, in the second half of the 20th century and in our time, there are many imitators of A.C. Doyle, including officially recognized by the family writer, screenwriter, and producer Anthony Horowitz, who wrote several novels: including "The House of Silk" and "Moriarty", as well as Andy Lane — the author of novels about young Sherlock, on which the upcoming series is based.
Guy Ritchie directed two films in 2009 and 2010: "Sherlock Holmes" and "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" starring Robert Downey Jr. Jude Law played Watson, Rachel McAdams played Irene Adler, Stephen Fry played Mycroft Holmes, and Jared Harris played Moriarty.
