In five districts of Minsk, on January 19, problems with heating and hot water arose due to a rupture of a section of the main heating pipeline. As a result, the heat supply to more than 3,000 houses was disrupted. To at least temporarily heat them, local backup boiler houses were quickly launched.
Also, in some places, due to the accident, frosty smog formed, which can be dangerous to health.
Now, according to Denis Fedorov, the main works on the damaged section have been completed. Workers have installed a new element of the heat pipeline, filled the pipe with network water to activate the heating main. Heat supply systems of residential buildings have been restored, work has been organized to de-aerate heating systems, and measures have been taken to restore the temperature regime in people's apartments.
As noted by the Deputy Director of Housing and Communal Services No. 1 of the Moskovsky district, a 24-hour hotline was also organized for prompt work. It receives individual calls from Minsk residents regarding the absence of heating in certain rooms and insufficient heating of heating devices.
