From 2026, a new norm has been introduced in Belarus in the Tax Code: souvenir products that people receive at various events will now be subject to income tax, reports Office Life.

This refers to things like medals, stationery, printed products, figurines, keychains, and other commemorative gifts. An annual limit has been set for them — 259 rubles from one organizer.
As explained by Oleg Burdyuk, chairman of the expert council of the Chamber of Tax Consultants, during the annual tax intensive in Minsk, if the total value of souvenirs received during the year from one organizer exceeds this threshold, the recipient will have to pay income tax.
The expert warned that those who frequently attend events from the same organizer should be careful — in such cases, one might receive a notification from the tax authorities.
It is important that this rule applies only to souvenirs presented as commemorative items or for representative purposes. The income tax rate in Belarus remains unchanged — 13%.
