Belarusian users on social networks are discussing an unusual feature of children's tights from the Mark Formelle brand: after washing, the prints on them become heavily "fluffy" and start to look completely different, as if living their own lives, writes Blizko.by.
One of the women wrote on Threads that her child's tights suddenly changed their appearance: the gingerbread cookie patterns on them turned into something resembling fluffy caterpillars. She attached a photo to the post, where it's clearly visible that after washing, the fabric became fuzzy, and the patterns themselves indeed resemble caterpillars.
This metamorphosis was liked by many. In the comments, people joked that they never thought tights could be so funny, comparing the patterns to an invasion of millipedes, "hair standing on end," and even preparations for Palm Sunday. Someone joked that in spring, the "caterpillars" would turn into butterflies, and by summer, only plain white tights would remain.
The manufacturer itself also reacted to the post. A Mark Formelle representative thanked for the feedback, stated that the information had been forwarded to production for review, and offered to bring the tights to the store to better understand the situation.
However, many users replied that nothing needed to be changed: in their opinion, this was not a defect, but a distinctive "feature." They wrote that the tights turned out very cute, "two in one," and even suggested developing the idea — for example, creating similar effects with bears, kittens, or chicks, as children really like it.
At the same time, there were also dissatisfied customers. They noted that for them, such an effect looked like a quality issue and that this was not the first time Mark Formelle products in the hosiery segment had disappointed them.
