Belarusian coach to lead serious football club playing in European competitions

Belarusian specialist Ivan Maevski will perform the duties of head coach of Slovenian "Celje".

The former midfielder of the Belarusian national team, who works as an assistant to Spaniard Alberto Riera, will temporarily replace his boss in this position, as Riera will soon lead Eintracht Frankfurt, football.by writes.

According to the source, the Slovenian championship match on February 1 against Maribor will be Riera's last as head coach of the team.

After 18 rounds, with 43 points, Celje confidently leads the standings, ahead of Koper and Maribor, who are in second and third place, by 12 points.

This season, Celje played in the main round of the Conference League and advanced to the playoffs, where it will play in the playoffs.
