Belarusian draniki entered the world's top 50 best potato dishes according to the gastronomic guide TasteAtlas. In the overall ranking, they took 14th place, receiving a score of 4.2 points. The authors of the list call draniki the most characteristic and recognizable Belarusian dish.

First place in the ranking went to Latvian potato pancakes, followed by similar dishes from Slovakia and Lithuania, and then French Potatoes Anna and Spanish Tortilla.

The description emphasizes that Belarusian draniki are made from grated potatoes with the addition of flour, eggs, milk, onions, and spices, fried until golden brown, and usually served with sour cream. As an accompaniment, mushrooms, cracklings, poppy seeds, or even fruits can also be used.
Additionally, draniki currently rank 10th in the list of most popular dishes on the TasteAtlas website. In the overall ranking of national cuisines of the world for 2025–2026, Belarusian cuisine is placed at 79th position with a score of 4.00 points.
