In Homiel, an entire auditorium of foreign students was rounded up for a public trial
At Francysk Skaryna Homiel State University, a public review of the forced expulsion of two foreign students was held. Representatives of the Department for Citizenship and Migration and police officers participated in the event, and an entire audience of students was gathered as spectators.

The stated purpose of the meeting was to demonstrate to foreign students the consequences that violations of legislation and migration rules can have.

The first student, a third-year student and citizen of one of the Central Asian countries, had repeatedly been brought to administrative responsibility by the traffic police (DAI). It was decided to expel him from Belarus and prohibit his entry into the country for one year. In case of violation of this ban, he faces criminal liability.

The second student, also a citizen of the same country and a first-year student, systematically missed classes and had unsatisfactory grades, which led to his expulsion. After expulsion, he was supposed to leave Belarus within a specified period, but he failed to do so, making his stay in the country illegal. He was banned from entering Belarus for four years.
After the public trial, both students were led out of the auditorium in handcuffs.
