Kremlin Canceled Mandatory Quarantine Before Meetings with Putin
The Kremlin introduced mandatory quarantine before meetings with Putin in 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Vladimir Putin no longer requires preliminary quarantine for everyone he meets with, reports journalist Farida Rustamova's project Faridaily, citing four sources familiar with the Kremlin protocol.
The publication does not specify exactly when this change was made. The Kremlin introduced mandatory quarantine before meetings with Putin in 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic, with measures strictly controlled by the Federal Protective Service (FSO).
Because of this, a number of officials and businessmen had to spend two weeks in specially designated isolation facilities to meet with the head of state. At the same time, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed that "some undergo a two-week quarantine, some undergo quarantine for several days, some meet without quarantine at all," writes "Novaya Gazeta Europe."
In October 2023, Faridaily reported that the quarantine period before meetings with Putin had been reduced to five days.
