Bloody dog carcasses found near the railway in Kletsk. What happened to them?
In Kletsk, near a railway crossing, the bodies of four dogs with bloodstains on the snow were found. A local resident who contacted journalists expressed concern: has the practice of culling animals, which is officially banned in Belarus, returned? Among the dead, according to her, could have been her mother's dog, which disappeared about a month ago, writes "Minskaya Pravda".

To clarify the circumstances of the case, a journalist contacted the district department of internal affairs and housing and communal services, which deal with catching stray animals.
The police stated: culling as a method of regulating the number of homeless animals has not been used in the country for many years. Legislation, they say, provides only for humane capture. Exceptions are possible only in the event of a direct threat to people's lives and health, and then special services are involved. However, no grounds for initiating a criminal case in this specific situation were found.
As it turned out from eyewitnesses' accounts, the tragedy occurred about a month ago. On this section of the railway, a train hit four dogs that were on the tracks. The animals died on the spot.
The bodies remained unnoticed for a long time due to heavy snowfalls. The snow almost completely covered them, so neither casual passers-by nor services could see them. Only with the onset of the thaw and the melting snow did the bodies become visible, which caused a wave of alarm among residents.
