In Minsk, construction of the third metro line to Zialony Luh is abandoned. All efforts will go to the fourth, ring line
Stations 'Ivana Mielezha', 'Zialony Luh', 'Lahojskaya' are postponed for the distant future.

The metropolitan authorities have once again changed their plans regarding metro construction. It has now been decided to temporarily stop the third metro line at 'Bangalore' square (station 'Park of Friendship of Peoples').
"Urban planning documentation envisages the demolition of houses along Maksim Bahdanovich Street as part of the laying of the [third line] of the metro. But in the near future, this will probably not happen. We will extend the metro line to Bangalore Square, and then we plan to move along Arlouskaya Street and Pushkin Avenue towards 'Pushkinskaya' metro station, where there will be an intersection with the second metro line. We have no plans to extend the metro towards Zialony Luh in the near future," stated Viktor Hutska, chairman of the Committee on Architecture and Urban Planning of the Minsk City Executive Committee.
Thus, after the completion of three stations of the third line — 'Piarespa', 'Kamarouskaya', 'Park of Friendship of Peoples' — all efforts will be focused on starting the fourth line. The initial phase includes stations 'Maksima Bahdanovicha', 'Staravilenski Shliakh', 'Viasnianka', 'Alshauskaya', and 'Tivali'.
