The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection announced an adjustment to the list of jobs prohibited for teenagers. According to Resolution No. 19 dated April 9, 2026, the profession "agricultural tractor driver-machinist" was excluded from the list of prohibited jobs.

This decision was made because Art. 25 of the Law "On Road Traffic" allows obtaining the right to drive wheeled tractors and self-propelled machines of categories A, B, C, F from the age of 17.
"In practice, a situation arose where graduates of vocational colleges, who have not reached the age of eighteen, already have a tractor driver-machinist certificate but cannot work in their specialty. To eliminate this contradiction and expand employment opportunities for teenagers, the ban has been lifted," the ministry explained.
In addition, for three professions, the minimum work grade from which minors are prohibited from working has been raised — from second to third. This will affect the professions of bookbinder, binder, and fitter for the repair of agricultural machinery and equipment.
"The increase in grade is due to the fact that when performing work at the second grade for these professions, there are no factors of increased danger, for example, open moving or rotating elements, exceeding norms for manual movement and lifting of loads. However, when performing work at the third grade and above, such factors are present," the department noted.
The main provisions of the resolution come into force from April 26.
