Kazuki will indeed take place in Grodno this year. On February 28, a traditional craft fair will be held in the city center, which local authorities combined with Maslenitsa for some time, writes Hrodna.life.

The festival on Sovetskaya Street can be visited on February 28 from 11:00 to 19:00. As reported by the Culture Department of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee, artisans from all over the country will come to the city. Visitors will be able to buy авторские souvenirs, participate in master classes on ceramics and other crafts, and also see the ceremony of dedicating a young master to artisans.
The concert program will begin at 13:00 with the grand opening of the festival, and then continue with performances by folk groups. The day will conclude with a pop concert featuring artists from Minsk.
For the past few years, Kazuki and Maslenitsa have been held together in Grodno.
This year, apparently, this format was also supposed to be maintained. The "Grodno RazGulyay" festival with Maslenitsa and Kazuki was planned for February 28, but the date raised questions. Maslenitsa ended on February 22 this year, and the 28th falls on the beginning of Lent. And it was still far from the craft fair, which traditionally took place on the nearest weekend to March 4 — St. Casimir's Day.
As a result, the format was changed: Maslenitsa "RazGulyay" took place on February 22. At the same time, the date of the festivities was changed literally "three days" before the event.
Announcements for Kazuki still barely explain what exactly this day is dedicated to. Historically, Kazuki is associated with the memory of Saint Casimir — a prince, son of King and Grand Duke Casimir Jagiellon, who died in 1484 in Grodno Castle and was later canonized. Saint Casimir is considered the patron saint of Lithuania, youth, artisans, and the Grodno Catholic Diocese.
In 2026, the revived Kazuki craft festival in Grodno celebrates its 25th anniversary, but in recent years the tradition has noticeably depreciated. The last time Kazuki was held as an independent event was in 2021. At that time, the festival still retained international status — masters from Ukraine participated in it.
In 2022, Grodno for the first time combined the holding of Kazuki and Maslenitsa. At that time, the craft fair was held on Sovetskaya Square, and the festivities on Lenin Square. In 2023, Kazuki and Maslenitsa in Grodno were held in March and already on the same square — Sovetskaya. Not a single foreign representative came to the craft fair, which once gathered masters from neighboring countries.
