Political Prisoner Aliaksei Kubrakou Released. Security Forces Called Him "Bysol's Courier"
The lawyer was sentenced to two years in a penal colony, but was held in a pre-trial detention center for so long that his term expired.

Aliaksei Kubrakou
The release of political prisoner lawyer Aliaksei Kubrakou has become known. He was considered "Bysol's courier" and sentenced to 2 years in a penal colony and a fine of 22,500 rubles.
Kubrakou was detained in October 2024 and held in a pre-trial detention center for an extremely long time — he was finally sentenced only a month ago, on February 12, 2026. Due to such a prolonged stay in the pre-trial detention center, his term has already expired.
Three more people were tried with him.
One person was also given 2 years in a penal colony — most likely, he was released on the same day as Kubrakou.
Two more people received 3 years in a penal colony each. Most likely, this refers to the couple Siarhei Kardash and Viera Kananenka. Kardash's name was mentioned in the same ONT story that also referred to Kubrakou's arrest.
"Bysol" denied that the detained Belarusians had any connection to the organization.
