Due to the introduction of flight restrictions in the airspace, the aircraft was forced to land at an alternate airfield in Muscat — the capital of Oman. The airline received the message about the restrictions at the moment when the board with passengers was already approaching Salalah — the second largest city in Oman, Belavia airline reported .

By agreement with the air carrier, the tour operator, who is the customer of the flight, decided to return the aircraft to Minsk to ensure the safety of passengers. The board departed from Muscat back to Belarus.
Tourists currently in Salalah are provided with accommodation and meals. The return flight is planned for March 4, 2026.
